A high pressure system over Bass Strait today will drift eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. A cold front and associated trough will approach far western Victoria late Thursday night and sweep across Victoria on Friday. A cold, unstable westerly airflow will follow the front and persist over Victoria on Saturday.
